Coglacachula

Coglacachulas are alien bio-weapons sent to an isolated desert town to eliminate human life in the 2024 alien invasion comedy, Alien Country.

Renny Grames stars as Everly, a country singer who desperately wants to escape from Blue River, an isolated desert town where she was raised. Everly also has an on-and-off relationship with Jimmy Walker (K.C. Clyde), the town’s mechanic, who will clearly be sad to see her go. However, Everly’s plans to enter a singing contest in a major city are interrupted by the arrival of quadrupedal alien monsters, who clearly want to rip the townsfolk to pieces.

Appearance

Coglacachulas are bipedal/quadrupedal bioluminescent green creatures possessing one head with two front-facing bright green glowing eyes, a large mouth woth sharp crimson teeth with jowl graspers and a cranial dorsal. The torso tapers from a wide muscular neck to slender hips and sprouts a series of green glowing tipped dorsal spikes with a centerline dorsal fin at the spine. Two muscular arms possess elbows with three sharp spikes and hands with two curved claws each. They have a fat muscular tail with a glowing green tipped pincher.

Powers and Abilities

Coglacachulas possess the following powers and abilities:

Animal Predatory Skills including; Hunt, Target, Pursue, Trap, Maneuver, Attack
Animal Predatory Attack; Capture, Bite, Rend, Tear, Pounce, Bull-like Blitz Charge, Hit, Horde Attack
Spore Communication Tactical Mutation - When a Cog dies it releases spores which float in the air until absorbed by another Cog. When absorbed, that Cog learns how the originating Cog died and adjusts itself by mutating to gain tactical advantage.

Fate

Coglacachulas are killed during the film and the final mutation, CogZilla, is killed when Everly runs it down with her demo derby car. However, now that the alien threat has been eliminated, Blue River must deal with a zombie attack...

Trivia

Ben (Charan Prabhakar) is a fast-talking alien in human form and Gina, a sinister alien who also takes the form of a human are mother and son.
The actual aliens, hellbent on killing off humans sent the Cogs thru a portal as a bio-weapon.
The line “Get away from her, you bitch” was used at one point.
Cogs were crustacean-inspired designs.
