The Crater Lake Monster is is the main antagonist of the 1977 film The Crater Lake Monster.
In Northern California a rare discovery is made in one of the caves in the area. Dr. Richard Calkins, his colleague Dan Turner and his girlfriend Susan Patterson barely escape a meterorite crash at the lake once they discover cave paintings depicting a plesiosaurus existing at the same time as humans. The meteroite, warming the temperature of the lake a startling 90 degrees, awakens the monster and it rampages the costal areas till the sheriff kills it.
