Elektroid CPU Appendage Drones are the different wired units around the ship performing tasks as directed by the Elektroid CPU Master of the sentient energy being inhabiting the Akademik Vladislav Volkov in the film Virus (1999)
Appearance
Elektroid CPU Appendage Drones appear in the film as multi-appendage worker units specifically designed for their intended tasks. Most are wired units using different electrical cables and some appear to lose function when disconnected from those cables (as evidenced when Richie pulls one apart). They are an assemblage of both mechanical and organic components some with organic 'cooling' wings.
Powers and Abilities
Elektroid CPU Appendage Droness possess the following powers and abilities:
- Specifically, each unit performs the tasks it is designed for.
- Gathering mechanical or organic components to build more drones.
- Disassembling (cutting up) of those gathered components with surgical precision.
- Assembling the modified pieces to created new specialized drones/units.
Fate
Elektroid CPU Appendage Drones perish when the ship explodes and sinks into the ocean.
Trivia
NOTE: Since I found no trivia relating to any of the slave drones specifically, all trivia added is gained from my multiple viewing of the movie and may be subject to inaccuracies.
- All drones, no matter its purpose, are powered by an electrical cable.
- No appendage worker drones speak.
- Pain verbalization of all Elektroid drones in the movie use the standard 'pig squeal', which has been deemed the 'bad movie' industry test audience standard as 'unnerving'.
