Movie Monster Wiki

Elektroid CPU Everton Assault Drone is what is left of Captain Everton after he makes a deal with Elektroid CPU Master in the movie Virus (1999).

Tugboat Sea Star, captained by alcoholic Robert Everton, loses its uninsured cargo while sailing through a typhoon. Sea Star's crew, led by navigator and ex-Navy officer Kelly Foster and engineer Steve Baker, discover the engine room taking on water. When Sea Star takes refuge in the eye of the storm to make repairs, Volkov appears on their radar. Realizing that it could be worth millions in salvage, Everton orders his crew aboard.

Once the crew leave Everton alone he contacts the alien entity using the ship's computer. He makes a deal to bring the ship to port and agrees to meet with the entity's Electroid CPU Master. Looks like things didn't work out the way he planned...

  • Actor Donald Sutherland spent six hours in the makeup chair in order to be transformed into "Bio-Everton". Sutherland wanted to film all of his scenes which required special makeup effects in one day so he would not have to go through the makeup application process again.
  • Everton Assault Drone sequences are 'acted' as well as animatronic and mechanically puppeted.
