The Foster-Spawn, formerly known as Dr. Michael Foster, is the main antagonist of the 1990 American horror film Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor.
After being bitten on the hand by an extraterrestrial organism from which he was harvesting DNA, Dr. Michael Foster is infected, causing him to transform into a gigantic monstrous beast.
The Foster-Spawn resembles a gigantic mass of tumorous flesh with two long elephantine legs and a third, much shorter leg. The creature's body appears to have numerous open sores or wounds all over its body. Its head sits at the end of a long neck and is similar to a barracuda with exposed gums, small eyes, and numerous sharp teeth.
Powers and Abilities
The Foster-Spawn possesses the following powers and abilities:
- Parasitic projectiles
- Sharp teeth
- Superhuman strength
- Fleshy tendrils
The Foster-Spawn is seemingly transformed back into Dr. Foster's normal self, but this is revealed to not be true. Instead, the creature is vaporized entirely.
- The film was intended to be a sequel to The Deadly Spawn, but the script eventually evolved into such a different concept.
