Garuda is the antagonist in the 2004 Film, Garuda aka Paksa Wayu.
In Bangkok, construction workers come across a rock which cannot be drilled, and discover dinosaur-like fossils of a creature resembling the Garuda from Thai/Hindu mythology. Two American archaeologists investigate, awakening the creature which then goes on a rampage.
Appearance
Garuda is a hulking 10 feet tall humanoid bird monster with dark brown plumage and skin, a eagle like head with 3 head points, a scrawny body, long arms tipped with claws, digit grade bird feet and legs and enormous grey wings

Fate
During a final rooftop confrontation, one of Garuda's wings is torn off before he tumbles from the building while reaching for Leena's claw necklace. As he struggles to climb back up, he is shot in the head with a powerful round, sending him crashing to the ground and ultimately killing him.
Trivia
- The title 'Garuda' refers to a mythical being with the body of a man and the head and wings of a bird. In Hindu mythology, the king of the Garudas became the ride of the God Vishnu.
