Haava Prisoners are convicted extraterrestrial aliens imprisoned inside human host brains without their knowledge in the Korean science fiction films Alienoid (2022) and Alienoid: Return to the Future (2024).
Alienoid (2022): Timeline 1: 1380 A.D. In the first timeline set in 1380 A.D., monk warriors attempt to defeat an alien and its human host but fail. Guard and Thunder, two humanoid robots, arrive and successfully extract the alien from its host. Before dying, the woman asks Guard to take care of her baby, but he explains that they cannot interfere in human affairs. Guard and Thunder leave using the Divine Blade, their power source.
Timeline 2: 2012, 2022 A.D. Guard and Thunder return to their timeline, where they work to track and contain escaped aliens who possess human bodies. They raise the baby girl, Yi-an, without revealing their true identities. Yi-an discovers the truth and learns about the alien prisoners and their plan to awaken their leader, The Controller. Guard, Thunder, and Yi-an work together to stop The Controller, but he awakens and tries to release a substance called Haava to make Earth's atmosphere suitable for the aliens. Guard manages to reverse the release, but The Controller escapes.
Timeline 3: 1391 A.D. Guard, Thunder, and Yi-an travel back in time due to a confrontation with The Controller. They crash-land, and Guard is severely injured. Yi-an is saved by a servant boy named Mureuk, who later becomes a bounty hunter. Mureuk encounters The Controller and unknowingly becomes his new host. Ten years later, Mureuk, now a magic learner, seeks a mystical knife called the divine blade. He meets Yi-an, who is now grown up and searching for the same blade to revive Thunder. They encounter various individuals, including The Dual Mages, Dogturd, and The Monk Guru, who are all connected to the aliens' plan to return to their home planet. The group battles the aliens and discovers Mureuk is the host of The Controller.
Alienoid: Return to the Future (2024): Retrieving the Divine Sword to unlock the gate of time, Lee Ahn, trapped in the past and attempting to stop the escape of an alien prisoner locked in a human body, searches for Thunder and makes her way back to the future. In the meantime, a weird presence in Mureuk's body disturbs him. Lee Ahn and Mureuk are pursued by Heug-seol and Cheong-woon, the two mages from Samgaksan who suspect that an alien lies within Mureuk; Neung-pa, a blind swordsman who wants to take the rumored divine sword and open his eyes; and Ja-jang, who wants to claim the divine sword. In the present day, several people are killed by a haava, an alien substance detonated by an escaped alien prisoner, The Architect, and an accidental alien witness, Min Gae-in, begins to investigate the incident. With only 48 minutes left before all the haava explodes, Lee Ahn must open the gate of time, return to the future and stop the heavy detonation. ~Source: Wikipedia

Trivia
- Since the alien prisoners nor their planet of origin names were revealed, I named the prisoners after the alien planet's atmosphere sphericals Haava
- Haava is deadly poisonous to humans.
- Guard and Thunder are supernatural constructs who manage and escort alien prisoners.
- Red Robot was the name of the alien construct which piloted the spaceship to Earth to free The Controller. Red Robot was designed at Art Station by Gareth Beedie and sold the mesh to Director Dong-hoon Choi to use in the movie. Source: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/8bnq9E
- Guard and Thunder possess morphing technology.
- Imprisonment is accomplished by positioning and activating a prisoner pod near humans. The pod morphs out long tendrils which seek out human host brains where it then deposits the prisoner within the host brain. Hosts are unaware they possess a prisoner inside.
- Prisoners can only be freed by an outside force... haava ingestion, the controller.
- Hosts are put in stasis hovering above the ground in a protective bubble. Since prisoners can't live long in Earth's atmosphere, they have to return to the safety and protection of their host. If they can't, they must forcibly take another host or perish.
