He Who Walks Behind the Rows is the main antagonist of the 1995 American horror film Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest and by extension the entire franchise.
He Who Walks Behind the Rows is an ancient Pagan fertility god that dwells among the cornfields of Nebraska, where it has gathered a cult of child followers that sacrifice themselves, as well as any nearby adults, to it to appease its hunger.
He Who Walks Behind the Rows is usually portrayed as an invisible force with no true corporeal form. However, in the film's climax, it manifests as a towering brown-skinned beast with a lamprey-like mouth filled with dagger-like teeth. Its body resembles a giant gnarled tree emerging from the ground and it is equipped with multiple tentacles and tree branch-like arms.
