Hopper Bugs are part of the Arachnid forces on Planet P in the 1997 film, Starship Troopers.
The Roughnecks respond to a distress call from Planet "P", where they reconnoiter an outpost that has been devastated by Bugs. They soon realize that the distress call was a trap and the Arachnids swarm the outpost.
Appearance
Hopper Bugs resemble the Soldier/Warrior bugs but have wings and can fly.

Fate
Hopper Bugs get killed in the film but as they are part of the Arachnid forces, more survive than are killed.
