Im La Ra, the Right Hand of Seth, is the antagonist in the 2007 Syfy film, Sands of Oblivion.
An archaeologist uncovers terrifying secrets in the long-buried set of legendary film `The Ten Commandments' at the Guadalupe Sand Dunes of the central California coast. There was a legitimate Egyptian artifact amongst the props, but they didn't know which one was trapping the spirit of a murderous Egyptian demigod, locked in an Anubis-like statue. Mysterious murders and accidents while making the film brings things back to the surface today, and it starts all over again.
Appearance
Im La Ra is a tall humanoid monster with oily dead flesh loose on its body, dog like paws and a horribly rotted jackals head with burned skin stretched scrawly on its skin, black hallow eye sockets, a black gaping maw of a mouth and long torn ears, he wears a black skirt with brown leather and scraps of items, a dirty red and white pharaoh headdress and a circled cross necklace.
Powers and Abilities
Im La Ra possesses the following powers and abilities:
- Sand control - can manipulate sand, transform into sand to sneak around & transmute it's victims into sand, both completely & partially, such as to make limbs easier to tear off.
- Scorpion Manipulation
- Unkillable by conventional weapons
Fate
Im La Ra is finally killed after Mark fires a rocket launcher at it, setting the building it's inside on fire. Im-La-Ra erupts into flames, wailing in agony before melting into a pool of metallic liquid.

- Im La Ra sometimes wields a thin black stick in combat.
- In this universe the movie the ten commandments carry a curse.
