Imhotep is the main antagonist of the 1932 American horror film The Mummy and its 1999 remake.
A team of archeologists accidentally awakens an ancient mummified Egyptian priest, who proceeds to attempt to locate his deceased lover, whom he believes has been reincarnated.
Appearance
Imhotep is a tall, gaunt man with an emaciated frame and graying skin. His body is covered in filthy white wrappings covered in stains.

- Imhotep was played by Boris Karloff (who also played Frankenstein's Monster) in the 1932 film and by Arnold Vosloo in the 1999 film (and its sequels).
- Imhotep was named after the ancient Egyptian polymath and architect of the same name.
