The M247 Mule is a major antagonist in the 1986 American horror film Maximum Overdrive.
When a strange comet causes all of Earth's machines to gain sentience and become murderous, a group of survivors is holed up in a gas station by a gang of vehicles, including an M247 Mule with the ability to speak in Morse code.

The M247 Mule is a gray M274 ½-ton 4×4 utility platform truck with no driver's seat and a post-mounted M60 machine gun.
