The Mother Longlegs is a minor antagonist in the 2017 American kaiju film Kong: Skull Island.
When a Monarch expedition to Skull Island is accidentally split up into multiple groups, one such group encounters an enormous spider in a bamboo forest.
Appearance
The Mother Longlegs is an enormous spider with a greenish-brown exoskeleton. Most of its height is composed of its long, thin, bamboo-like legs. Its abdomen is covered in grass-like hair. Its two foremost legs have adapted into crab-like pincers. Its underbellies can open up like a hatch, revealing a digestive orifice.
