Nanoshark is the main antagonist of the 2024 American horror film Nanoshark.
The microscopic beast was genetically engineered to be injected into the human body as part of an experimental medical procedure to cure a rare blood disorder. It was designed to target and eliminate diseased cells, but something went catastrophically wrong, turning it into a rogue predator within the bloodstream. A team of soldiers is sent inside the patient's body in a shrunken submarine to kill the beast.
Appearance
Nanoshark is identical in appearance to a normal great white shark aside from its microscopic size.
Powers and Abilities
Despite its small size, the Nano Shark retains all the predatory instincts of a full-sized shark. It swims through veins and arteries with terrifying speed, attacking blood cells and even causing internal hemorrhages in its host.
Fate
Captain Erin is tasked with exiting the safety of the sub to lure the shark to the extraction point in the urethra as live bait, but she quickly tires and is eaten by the beast. The sub's head commander Rex Mannion manages to use its electrical cannons to lead the shark to the correct spot, and both the sub and the shark are peed out of the patient just as they return to full size, killing the shark in the process.
