The Praetomorph is a variant and relative of the Xenomorph species featured in the 2017 science fiction horror film Alien: Covenant.
Appearance
Praetomorphs are a different species of the Xenomorph race. They possess notable differences that set it apart from its mainstream cousins. Notably, it lacks any biomechanical features and its limbs are longer, thinner and skinless, with exposed muscles and blood vessels, with gaps appearing in its armpits. The shoulders and spikes are noticeably different, being smaller and narrower. The Praetomorph also has a thinner, sleeker tail that ends with a small barb or stinger. Like the original Xenomorph, the Protomorph possesses an inner pharyngeal jaw.

Fate
The first Praetomorph is killed by getting crushed to death by a remote crane activated by Katherine Daniels while the second one is impaled by a forklift vehicle and sent it flying out of the Covenant, whereupon it then burned up upon re-entering the atmosphere.
