The Tentacles from Planet X are minor antagonists in the 2007 American horror film The Mist.
When David, Ollie, Norm, and Jim go to restart the backup generator outside, their attempt is foiled by gigantic tentacles belonging to an unseen beast that entered through the now-open cargo bay door.
Appearance
The Tentacles from Planet X are large flesh tone tentacles with a row of spikes on either of their sides. Down the middle of the tentacle is a row of toothed suckers like those of a squid; the bites of these suckers appear to be corrosive.

The Tentacles from Planet X possess the following powers and abilities:

Fate
One of the tentacles that entered through the storage door has part of it chopped off, which eventually melts into a smoking black sludge. The other tentacles retreat after killing Norm.
Trivia
- The full body of the tentacles' owner is never seen.
