Torok is the antagonist in the 1986 film, Troll.

In order to get his life back as a wizard, Torok the troll plans to take over an apartment building. His first step is to possess young Wendy Potter. Her brother, Harry, is the only one who suspects something is wrong. Fortunately, neighbor Eunice St. Clair is a witch and not only believes Harry but also agrees to help him. Meanwhile, as Torok, Wendy starts transforming other building tenants into mythical creatures and only Harry can stop him.

Appearance

Torok resembles a munchkin in size and stature only with features of a dwarvish elf. Large pointy ears, Large downward pointed nose, deep black recessed eyes with no eyebrows, gray scraggly facial hair surrounding his face blending with dark brown/black coat of body fur. He has short clubbed fingers ending with thick pointy nails.

Torok possesses the following powers and abilities:

• Magically transforms people into goblins, nymphs and elves
• Uses a magic ring

Fate

Torok destroys his own magical realm, freeing the people from his influence so he can save Wendy from sure death. As the film ends, a cop investigating one of the remaining fragments of Torok's enchantment is seen while you see Torok's arm rising, preparing to use this magic ring. Implying Torok survives.

Trivia

• Troll's plot has no relation to the film Troll 2 or the two Troll 3 films
• The hero of this film is a boy named Harry Potter Junior, who is surrounded by a fantasy world of witches, wizards and magic, 11 years before J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels swept the publishing world.
• In John Carl Buechler's original story treatment, Torok was a monster who was systematically killing off the inhabitants of the building slasher-movie style. Producer Charles Band wanted to create a PG-13 movie, so the story was altered and the fantasy element was created.
• While the film is not short on hideous or disgusting creatures, Torok is the only troll to appear on screen. The other creatures are fey folk, nymphs, goblins, and other mythical beings.
